Free Health & Eye Check-up Medical Camp organised by Navi Mumbai First Charitable Trust

NAVI MUMBAI : Navi Mumbai First Charitable Trust organised a free medical check-up and treatment camp on Sunday, 22nd April, 2018 from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm to provide healthcare support to tribal people of local villages in Dhamani, Taluka – Karjat, Dist.- Raigad.

The medical camp was organised at the site of ESHANYA SIGNATURE BANGALOW PROJECT at Dhamani village, near Karjat, District Raigad. More than 135 tribals from Dhamani, Meskarwadi, Choudhariwadi, Ambivali, Jambhulwadi, Peth, and nearby villages benefited from this noble initiative.

A team of 8 to 9 doctors including gynaecologists, ophthalmologists, Eye specialists, eye surgeons, orthopaedic, general medicine and Paramedical staff from Dr. D. Y. Patil Hospital, Nerul, Navi Mumbai rendered their services in the camp. Patients underwent eye check-ups and health check-ups by the team of specialist doctors and were given consultations, medicine and spectacles free of cost.
Fifteen patients have been diagnosed for cataract surgeries and will be admitted to Dr. D. Y. Patil Hospital, Nerul for further check-up and surgery free of cost. More than 70 women have been checked by expert gynaecological doctors’ team and medicines for a month have been distributed to them free of cost like vitamin B Complex, Iron and Calcium etc. Also distributed medicines on cold and cuff and pain relief ointment to the needy people free of cost.

Speaking on these important initiatives Shri Rajesh Prajapati, President of Navi Mumbai First Charitable Trust said, “Navi Mumbai First Charitable Trust is committed to undertake a number of social activities in larger interest of the community, especially in the area of health, education, sports, infrastructure, women empowerment and childcare apart from supporting a few other Not for Profit efforts by organising seminars, camps and workshops”. Shri Mohan Gurnani, Chairman of Navi Mumbai First Charitable Trust said, “Spreading awareness has been our constant endeavour to contribute towards the development and wellbeing of the community at large." He further said, “such kind of medical health check-up camps for needy citizens will be organise periodically at various locations in Navi Mumbai with the help of various reputed hospitals and doctors. Mr. Rajesh Prajapati then expressed his thanks to all villagers of Dhamani and nearby areas for considerable response they had given and taken benefit of the camp.
