NAREDCO Maharashtra organises Tree Plantation Drive with Amruta Fadnavis

Maharashtra’s First Lady Smt. Amutra Fadnavis talks about the need of nurturing saplings after plantation
MUMBAI: With the objective to preserve and promote the environment, NAREDCO Maharashtra organised a tree plantation and conservation drive at Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali, Mumbai. The drive was inaugurated by Smt. Amruta Fadnavis. Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, National President, NAREDCO, Mr. Rajan Bandelkar, President Elect, NAREDCO Maharashtra along with other NAREDCO members shared the dais along with Smt. Amruta Fadnavis. NAREDCO aims to plant 1, 50,000 trees as a part of this drive.

“It is a good cause and we should plant lot of trees, but one of the major reasons why we must do this because we need to move beyond just planting of trees and save the environment. I am thankful to NAREDCO Maharashtra for inviting me here for such a good cause,” said Smt. Amruta Fadnavis.

NAREDCO Maharashtra has been working towards social responsibilities like environment conservation, and is committed to sustainable growth by ensuring the environment is cared for in Mumbai as also the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) as also the state of Maharashtra. The tree plantation drive is distinct given its focus on not just planting, but also sustaining the plants. At the same time, the event seeks to foster a culture of responsibility towards nature among various stake-holders. NAREDCO Maharashtra will not only plant trees, but will also take care of them, in partnership with the Forest Ministry, Maharashtra and the BMC.

Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, National President, NAREDCO said, "Sustainable development is the right choice, and being environment-friendly is the correct way to achieve the goal. NAREDCO has been working on tree plantations as part of "going green". I wish today's initiative the very best, and look forward to seeing the results in the near future."

Addressing the event, Mr. Rajan Bandelkar President elect NAREDCO MAHARASHTRA said “I would like to congratulate Mr. Sudhir Mungantiwar, Honourable Forest Minister, and Government of Maharashtra for giving us this opportunity to be the part of his great initiative, ‘Green Skyline’. Tree Plantation and such green initiative drives allow us to get connected with Mother Earth. I would like to thank Smt. Amruta Fadnavis for taking time out and attending the event. As our honourable chief guest mentioned, NAREDCO Maharashtra will make sure that proper care and timely review is done of all the plant planted during this initiative.”

Realtor’s body National Real Estate Development Council has been organising tree plantation in association with the Forest Ministry, Government of Maharashtra for the past 4 years.
